Florida Lotto has registered 548 rollovers since the game started in 1988. Following is a table which itemizes each rollover by its duration and by the year in which it occurred. For instance, in 1993 Lotto registered 12 rollovers of one draw, three rollovers of two draws and one rollover of three draws, for a total of 12 + 6 + 3 = 21 rollovers. The same year Lotto also registered 31 jackpots which were shared by altogether 62 winners. Thus, 52 draws in 1993 resulted in 31 jackpots and 21 rollovers [31 + 21 = 52].

[a] Between 22 Dec 1990 and 12 Jan 1991 Lotto registered a 2-draw rollover. For technical reasons only this rollover series is allocated under 1990, since 1 of the 2 rolls [= 50%] occurred in that year. Thus, by adding up the rollover periods for 1991, an additional roll from the year 1990 has to be included. [10 x 1 + 3 x 2 + 1 x 4 + 1 = 21].

[b] Between 23 Dec 2000 and 20 Jan 2001 Lotto registered a 7-draw rollover. Since 5 of the 7 rolls occurred in 2001, the entire 7-draw rollover series is allocated under that year. Thus, by adding up the rollover periods for 2000, an additional 2 rolls from the year 2001 have to be included.

[c] Between 15 Dec 2001 and 19 Jan 2002 Lotto registered a 9-draw rollover. Since 5 of the 9 rolls occurred in 2002, the entire 9-draw rollover series is allocated under that year. Thus, by adding up the rollover periods for 2001, an additional 4 rolls from the year 2002 have to be included.

[d] Between 25 Dec 2002 and 08 Jan 2003 Lotto registered a 3-draw rollover. Since 2 of the 3 rolls occurred in 2003, the entire 3-draw rollover series is allocated under that year. Thus, by adding up the rollover periods for 2002, an additional 1 roll from the year 2003 has to be included.
